Happy Juneteenth Weekend, Family! 🖤 I hope y'all are enjoying your day of rest, celebration, and freedom! I started my Juneteenth off with a very Blackity Black playlist, the ancestors on my mind, and a kitchen smelling like fried fish, cornbread, collard greens, and black eyed peas. Because today we honor, celebrate and remember that freedom was always ours. They just took their sweet time telling us about it. Shout out to every ancestor who held the line so we could be here. We thank you. We carry you. We are you. In the spirit of this day, because what is Juneteenth if not a reminder that KNOWING changes everything, I want to leave you with an expression I'm holding near and dear to me in this season. A tagline, if you will. And dare I say, it is an assignment. Know Your Self. Know Your Purpose. Know Your Power. This is the work, for all of us. Especially now, and especially today. Because freedom that lives only on paper and not in your own knowing of self is incomplete. The most radical thing any of us can do in this season is go inward, understand who we are, and claim why we're here. And with that, the goal is to walk in that power without apology. That is what I am committed to doing, and helping my people do. I just wrapped up the first cohort of my course, Navigating the Natal Chart, and I am so proud of every single person who showed up and did the work. The second cohort kicks off Sunday, July 5th at 6PM EST, and throughout July I am teaching all who register how to read your own chart, interpret it for your life, and use that wisdom to build the reality you actually want to be living. This is for you if... I will teach you what a natal chart is, the Ancient Afrikan roots astrology derives from, how to read it, how to interpret it, and how to use it as your personal roadmap from a decolonized perspective. By the end of this course you will never look at yourself the same way again. So, in honor of this Blackity Black, powerful, ancestral, freedom-soaked Juneteenth weekend — the course is 50% off. That's half price to learn yourself, on the day we celebrate the radical act of knowing we were always free. Visit: www.niaknowledge.com and use code JUNETEENTH at checkout. Available until Sunday at 11:59PM. And if you'd rather I just tell you about yourself? You can always book a reading/interpretation session or a an Astro Guidance consultation. For you, for your child, for you and your partner, for the whole family — all readings are also 50% off this Juneteenth weekend. You can schedule live time with me at this link: https://niaknowledge.as.me One more thing before I let you go. As I was curating my Juneteenth playlist today and sitting in the power of Black artistry, from the music, the messages, and the revolutionary spirit woven through every song, it brought me back to a video I made in 2017. I participated in the #SoGoneChallenge and I remixed it. Flipped it into something with a message. Something that spoke to the pain of being Black in America. The names of our people who were taken by police and by those who appointed themselves judge and jury over Black lives. I said many of their names in the song. It is not a light video. It is not meant to bring you down on this beautiful day. But it is real. And it is a reminder of why this work matters. Why knowing yourself matters. Why raising children who know themselves matters. And it is also a glimpse into my artistry — a part of me I am looking forward to sharing more of in the days ahead. Go give it a watch when you're ready. It's on my YouTube channel. Happy Juneteenth family. We honor today and we keep pressing on tomorrow. 🖤✊🏾 Deep Love, Nia Sadé Know yourself. Know your purpose. Know your power. ✨✨✨ |
